Restaurants & Fine Dining Insurance

Whether you’re running a bustling bistro, a family-style establishment, or a fine dining experience, CAI knows that your restaurant comes with its own unique set of risks and challenges. That is why we are committed to understanding the specific risks your business faces and creating a comprehensive insurance solution tailored specifically to you.

What are the unique risks restaurants face?

Food Contamination & Spoilage

The reputation of your restaurant hinges on the safety and quality of your food. With insurance coverage for food spoilage and contamination, your restaurant will be protected against losses incurred from power outages, accidental contamination, or equipment breakdowns.

Liability Concerns

From employment and wage lawsuits, to foodborne illnesses, to slip-and-fall accidents, restaurants need to be equipped to handle their liability risks. With general liability coverage, your legal fees, settlements, and medical expenses will be covered.

Property Damage

Restaurants are especially susceptible to water damage, fires, theft, and vandalism. With property insurance, you can have peace of mind that your building, dining areas, and kitchen equipment are covered, allowing you to quickly recover.

Business Interruption

Events like natural disasters or fires can unexpectedly put your operations to a stop, leaving you scrambling to cover ongoing expenses and income. With business interruption insurance, you will be provided financial support for the duration of your restaurant closure, allowing time to make the proper repairs.

Employee Injuries

Employee injury becomes a common risk when you add a busy kitchen and dining areas into the equation. With workers’ compensation insurance, your business is protected from the legal complications that incur from such injuries, as well as ensuring your employees receive the necessary medical care and wage replacement.

Liquor Liability

If your restaurant serves alcohol, it is vital that your business has liquor liability insurance. With this coverage, you are protected from legal claims and damages resulting from alcohol-related incidents, such as accidents or injuries caused by intoxicated patrons.

Cybersecurity Risks

Now, more than ever, restaurants are reliant on technology for payment processing, reservations, and more. With this comes an increased susceptibility to cyber-attacks. With cyber liability insurance, your restaurant is protected against data breaches, hacking, and other cyber threats.
