Homebuilders Insurance

If you are a homebuilder that is a Home Builders Association (HBA) member, you are also eligible for special rates and benefits.

What are the unique risks homebuilders face?

Construction Site Accidents

The potential for worker injuries, falls, and equipment accidents makes construction sites inherently dangerous. However, with general liability and workers’ compensation insurance, your medical expenses, settlements, and legal fees from such incidents are covered.

Property Damage

Construction sites are vulnerable to all types of property damage, such as theft, vandalism, and weather-related damages. With property insurance, you can have peace of mind knowing that your tools, materials, and structures are covered, minimizing delays in your project and financial loss.

Builder’s Risk

During the building phase, it’s vital that your project is protected against damage or loss. Builder’s risk insurance ensures that you are safeguarded from threats such as wind, theft, fire, and other unexpected events that impact your progress.

Professional Liability

The quality and safety of your work is in your hands as a homebuilder. With professional liability insurance, you are protected from negligence, errors, or omission in your design and construction services.

Contractor’s Equipment

Without your equipment, completing projects efficiently would be difficult. With contractor’s equipment insurance, if your tools or machinery get damaged or stolen, the cost for a repair or replacement is covered.

Pollution Liability

In construction there is always a risk that a project will lead to an environmental hazard, such as a hazardous material spill or soil contamination. With pollution liability insurance, the cost of cleanup, legal fees, and associated damages is covered.

Completed Operations Liability

Once a project is complete, there may be issues such as faulty workmanship or structural defects. With completed operation liability insurance, claims made after the construction is completed will be covered.
