 Mike began his career in the insurance industry in 1981 at the R.O. Bergman Insurance Agency where he worked along side his grandfather, father and sister. He is a graduate of St. Xavier High School, class of 1979, and of Xavier University, with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He became a Certified Insurance Counselor in 1984. Mike has been an active member of All Saints parish in a variety of capacities including coaching, Bible study group leader, and serving as Cub Master for the Boy Scout program. Malcolm A. Bernstein is associated with CAI Insurance Agency, Inc., and does business under the name of M. A. Bernstein & Company. He specializes in insurance and risk management for financial institutions and for manufacturing and wholesale risks. His prior insurance affiliations include Isaacs & Bernstein, Inc. (1954-1969); Frederick Rauh & Company (1969-1982); and CPB Group (1982-2001). Mr. Bernstein is on the board of the Mt. Adams Civic Association, where he was President from 1995-2002. He was on the board of the Cincinnati Jewish Community Relations Council from 1970-1986, and served as Treasurer, Vice President and President. At that time he also served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. In the 1970s he participated on committees of the Community Chest/United Appeal. During that period he also was on the board and President of Easy Riders, Inc., an agency providing transportation services for the medically indigent. Mr. Bernstein received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance and Commerce. He was awarded the Designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1957. He was an instructor in insurance at the University of Cincinnati Evening College in 1961.  Jimmie Foster was born in Cincinnati, OH in 1970. He was employed by Prudential Health Insurance early in his carrier and obtained extensive insurance training and education though out his tenure there.
After the local Prudential office closed their doors in December of 1997, he was employed at CAI/AEBS serving as a consultant in the TPA helping streamline workflow and systems. In 2000 Jimmie received his property and casualty license and for the next year and a half developed his sales acumen and began to build solid professional relationships. It was at this point that he was asked to manage the agency’s fully insured employee benefits department. At the time only one person was handling new business and renewals.
With significant growth under Jimmie’s leadership, CAI’s employee benefits department has grown into one of the tri-state’s leading consultants in the industry. There are now seven employees on staff in the employee benefits department. Jimmie sits on several carrier advisory boards and works closely with carriers and clients finding unique solutions to their employee benefit needs.
Jimmie has been married for 21 years and has four sons. He is active in youth athletics and has been coaching football and baseball for 16 years. He and his family live in the White Oak/Montfort Heights area.

Melissa began her insurance career in 1972 as a secretary and office manager for a National life insurance agency, acquiring the experience and expertise to move into insurance administration. She acquired both her life and health insurance licenses and now offers both sales and service expertise and experience to clients. She has built a solid reputation with the Health Insurance carriers in the Cincinnati Community and has qualified for some of the industry’s highest achievements.
Melissa is active in both business and community groups and organizations. As an advisor and mentor to business women, she provides help to them in exploring and choosing financial plans and services to meet their specific needs. In the community, she has been a dedicated volunteer, especially in youth and educational related activities. She is a generous supporter of Dixie Heights High School Sports programs.

 Doug is part of the Massa Family Insurance Legacy. Doug’s Grandfather, Art Massa, his Uncle, Robert Massa and his Dad, Jerry all had careers in the insurance industry. Doug joined his Dad at CAI in 1983. Jerry was one of the original agents recruited by Carl Schlotman Sr. to form CAI. Doug is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Xavier University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He has served as a Commercial Underwriting Trainee for CNA (a Multi-national Insurer), as well as an IT director, Manager of Business Insurance Marketing, and Professional Liability specialist during his 10 years with CAI. He is currently responsible for the Operations of CAI's Third Party Administration services - Benovation. His objectives with Benovation include increasing operational efficiency via utilization of technology, and implementation of the TPA's innovative products and services. Kevin achieved his designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in 2005. He graduated from Indiana University (BS Finance Bloomington, '95) and Moeller High School ('91). Kevin lives in Hyde Park with his wife Jennifer and daughter Annabelle.

A native of Cincinnati, Mike attended St. Xavier High School (1988) and continued on to Miami University (1992). Mike joined the agency in 1992 and began in property casualty sales. As Mike¹s passion for the company grew he began to specialize in New Agent Development and Operations. In 2002 he was named Vice President and Partner. Since 2006, Mike has been the Chief Operations Officer focusing on New Agency Partnerships and Long Range Operational Development.

Paul Young is a native of Greater Cincinnati. Paul was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The University of Indianapolis. His introduction to the insurance industry was as an underwriter for a local insurance company. Paul has worked for two large insurance brokers in the Midwest prior to joining the CAI team in 2007. Paul Brings a strong carrier relationship to CAI which will help bring in new Markets and Ideas.
